In the UK and Ireland, Mother's Day (Mothering Sunday) is the fourth Sunday of Lent and usually falls in March, while many other countries celebrate it in May. A card for Mum does not need to be big to mean a lot. It just needs to be personal: the name you call her at home and a motif she loves, such as daffodils, a cup of tea in the garden or her favourite flowers.
You can also order a card in the style of a child's drawing that a little one signs themselves. If you live far away, send the PNG on Sunday morning and give her the printed card when you next visit. For a stepmum or mother-in-law, order a separate design with a different greeting.
