You can also enter a custom size in mm or cm, portrait or landscape. Measure the mounting area and enter the size. The most legible signs have a short name and strong contrast.
How big should the letters on a sign be?
A simple rule: every centimetre of letter height gives about 3–4 metres of readability. A business name read from the street should be at least 10–15 cm tall, and a phone number on a door plaque 4–6 cm. Avoid thin typefaces and light letters on a light background.

Is the file suitable for making the sign?
You get a PDF in the chosen size with bleed and a PNG. For cut letters and lightboxes sign makers usually need your logo as vectors, so it helps to have it as SVG or PDF.
